Hattie Lee Garner Osceola

Hattie Lee Garner, 80, of Osceola died July 16. 2015 at Southern Hills Specialty Care.

Services were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The Rev. Chuck DeVos officiated.  Interment was in the Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Hattie Lee Garner, daughter of Clint McDonald and Pauline (Methvin) McDonald, was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Ada, Okla.

On April 1, 1952, Hattie married Kenneth Eldon Garner at Yuma, Ariz.

Hattie worked at Collins Electronics on the assembly line for a few years, but also did babysitting at home . She had lived in Santa Ana, Calif., before returning to Iowa to retire 19 years ago. Since her return to Iowa she has attended Lifepoint Church in Osceola and was a member of the Bonco card club.

Hattie is survived by her husband, Eldon Garner of Osceola; daughters, Kathy (Steven) Krambeck of Wildomar, Calif., Carol Miller of Nuevo, Calif., Sherry Garner of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Anette Cortines of Osceola and Theresa Anastasia of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; grandchildren, Melanie (James) LeMay of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Melissa (Ronnie) Williams of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Jason (Christie) Miller of Folsom, Calif., Jamie (Mark) Ortiz of Corona, Calif., Lori (Darryl) Oldfield of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Matthew Bales of Seattle, Wash. and Daniel Cortines of Pinon Hills, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Owyn Bales, Mackenzie Miller, Morgan Miller, Madalynn Ortiz, Natalya Ortiz, Alyssa Miller, Danica Oldfield and Banksy James LeMay; sister, Clara “Corkey” Garner of Casper, Wyo.; brothers, George McDonald of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Clinton (Millie) McDonald of Anaheim, Calif., as well as other relatives and many friends.

Hattie was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Tim Crickx and step-father, Bruno Monington.
