According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Thane Michael Simmons, 17, of Murray, driving a 1996 Ford Taurus owned by Denise Rae Simmons, was driving south on 130th Avenue and swerved to miss hitting a cat. The vehicle went into the west ditch.
Damage estimate is $500.

An accident was reported 1:38 p.m. June 24 at 323 Eisenhower Road.
According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Robert Dwight Schader, 79, of Osceola, driving a 2003 Chevrolet pickup, was turning into his shop driveway from Kansas Street.
A 1979 Ford vehicle behind Schader swerved or lost control and struck his vehicle in the driver’s side door. The 1979 Ford left the scene of the accident immediately heading east.
Damage estimate is $1,500.
