Washington, D.C. – Congressman Dave Loebsack recently welcomed students participating in Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives’ Youth Tour to the nation’s capital.
The Youth Tour brings high school students from across the country to Washington, D.C., to learn more about electric cooperatives, American history and U.S. government. This year, six students from Albia, Bloomfield, Brooklyn, Knoxville and Moravia participated in the tour.
“Many of these students will be our next generation of leaders and I enjoyed meeting with them,” Loebsack said. “The Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives’ Youth Tour provides students with a great opportunity to visit our nation’s capital and learn more about our history. I commend them for their work.”
