Accidents

No citations were issued after an accident 11 p.m. March 10 in the 2300 block of 285th Avenue.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Perry Verlin Parmer, 60, of Woodburn, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup east on 285th Avenue, which is a dirt road. A fire started in the motor area and Parmer said he lost the vehicle’s steering. The pickup entered the ditch and completely burned.

The vehicle, which was owned by Austin Ray Richardson-Blades, was considered a total loss.

No citations were issued after an accident 7:10 a.m. March 19 at 1025 Highway 69.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Joseph Redman Snook, 24, of Weldon, driving a 1998 Saturn, south on Highway 69, lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle entered the east ditch and rolled several times before coming to a stop on its wheels.

Damage estimate to the vehicle owned by Brianna Renee Ward is $1,500.
