Grassley designated a ‘Friend of Farm Bureau’

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa has been designated as a “Friend of Farm Bureau” for the 113th session of Congress that just concluded by the America Farm Bureau Federation.

Grassley received the award for his work to advance agricultural interests across Iowa and the United States.

“I’m honored to receive this award,” Grassley said. “The work that family farmers do is valuable not just to the nation, but to the world, and I want to be sure their views are represented in Washington. I’ve made a strong commitment to support agriculture in the U.S. Senate.”

The “Friend of Farm Bureau” award is given out during each session of Congress to members who have supported Farm Bureau policy. Recipients are nominated by their respective state Farm Bureaus and approved by the American Farm Bureau Federation.

As one of only two working family farmers in the U.S. Senate, Grassley works to be a voice for agriculture and rural America in Washington through his work in the U.S. Senate and his roles on the finance, judiciary, budget, and agriculture committees.
