Raydean Boggs, son of Eugene and Mabel (Morgan) Boggs was born June 8, 1934, at home in Weldon with a MD in attendance. Their home was in the rural area of Clarke County. Raydean passed away July 23, 2014, doing what he liked to do; farming his ground.

Raydean attended and graduated from the LeRoy School in 1951. He joined the National Guard and also worked hauling livestock for people and farming. Later he worked for the Humeston Livestock Auction and continued till he was 80 years old when the Lord called him home.

He lived all his life on the farm in Weldon where he was born and raised. Early on, he raised hogs and then later focused on Registered Angus cow/calf herds. Raydean dedicated some of his earlier years to the National Guard in Chariton. One of his other passions was 4-H and the participation of himself and through some of his chosen young people at the Wayne County Fair.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Russell.

Raydean is survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.

There will be a “celebration of life” to be held at the Humeston Sale Barn on August 23 at 2:00 PM with all those members of family or friends wishing to attend can gather to share stories and tales of Raydean’s life.
