Devon Carson, daughter of Clarke County Farm Bureau members and leaders Tom and Sandy Carson, received one of the $250 Clarke County Farm Bureau scholarships being offered this year.

According to all of her references, Carson is well deserving of this award. She has participated in concert band, marching band, basketball, softball, the silver cord program, and prom committee, all of which were done with a great amount of practice, self-discipline, positive attitude and time management skills.

These activities have helped continue to mold her into further development of great leadership qualities, good character, excellent work ethic and acceptance of responsibility all of which began at home.

She will be attending Clarke University, majoring in pre-med/biology and continue on to University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine to become an orthopedic surgeon. These plans are a positive result of her many injuries and surgeries in her life and her wish to help others get back to doing what they love, like her doctors helped her.

Clarke County Farm Bureau members congratulatesCarson and wish her the best.
