No citations were issued after an accident 11:31 p.m. May 31 on Interstate 35 near mile marker 42.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Martha Nyakong Rut, 41, of Des Moines, driving a 2007 Dodge north on Interstate 35, struck a deer.

Damage estimate is $5,500.

No citation were issued after an accident 7 p.m. May 30 in the Fareway parking lot in Osceola.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Darren Glen Flaherty, 31, of Saint Charles, driving a 2014 Dodge police charger, was conducting a traffic stop on a 2012 Ford driven by Gerald Jean Stuart, 78, of New Virginia.

Stuart was looking for a parking spot in the Fareway parking lot and didn’t notice Flaherty’s vehicle behind him. Stuart backed his vehicle into Flaherty’s vehicle.

Damage estimates are $100 to Stuart’s vehicle and $1,500 to Flaherty’s vehicle.

Owen Chandler McCormick, 21, of Muscatine was cited for failure to maintain control after an accident 6:50 p.m. June 3 at the intersection of Doyle Street and Interstate 35.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, McCormick, driving a 2001 Ford north on Interstate 35 in the right-hand lane, lost control of the vehicle at the Doyle Street bridge overpass.

McCormick’s vehicle crossed the left lane, entered the interstate’s median and struck a center guard rail. The vehicle came to a stop in the south, left lane facing west.

Damage estimates are $2,000 to McCormick’s vehicle and $1,000 to the guard rail owned by the state of Iowa.

No citations were issued after an accident 9:40 p.m. June 1 at the intersection of Highway 34 and 190th Street.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Michele Ann Phillips, 63, of Derby, driving a 2007 Chevrolet west on Highway 34, struck a deer.

Damage estimate is $2,500.
