No citations were issued after an accident 4:02 p.m. May 29 on Interstate 35, six miles north of Osceola.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Sarah Elicia Hart, 24, of Osceola, driving a 2002 Pontiac north on Interstate 35, swerved to avoid another vehicle that was switching lanes. Hart swerved onto the cement median and struck a cable wire supported by posts.

The other vehicle left the scene.

Damage estimates are $1,600 to Hart’s vehicle and $500 to six posts, wire cable and signs owned by Iowa Department of Transportation.

No citations were issued after an accident 9:44 p.m. May 29 on Interstate 35 at the 36 mile marker.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Roberto Salas Garza, 41, of Marshalltown, driving a 2009 Chevrolet south on Interstate 35, struck a deer.

Damage estimate is $2,000.
