Mike Lathrum Truro

Mike Lathrum, 55, of Truro died April 28, 2014, at his home in Truro.

Services were 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at St. Charles Parish Church. The Rev. Bob Cook officiated. Graveside services were 11 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Cemetery. Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to his family for a fitting tribute to be decided on at a later date. Michael Wayne Lathrum, son of Patsy Merle (Noel) and Johnnie Laverne Lathrum, was born Jan. 10, 1959, in Winterset.

Mike grew up in St. Charles and graduated from Interstate 35 High School.

On Feb. 14, 1986, Mike married Arleen Williamson.

Mike worked as a postal carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 20 years.

Mike is survived by his daughters, Ashley (Mike) Stout of Cedar Falls, Jennifer (Casey) Walters of New Virginia and Cassi Lathrum of St. Charles; mother Pat Lathrum, sister Marcia (Bob) Knutson and brother Stephen (Sandi) Lathrum, all of St. Charles, as well as other relatives and many friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his father and sister Terri Lathrum.
