Roy Henson Osceola

Roy Henson, 72, of Osceola died April 13, 2014, at his home.

Services were 10 a.m. Monday, April 21, at Faith Fellowship Evangelical Free Church. The Rev. Sheldon Lorenson officiate. Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Roy LaVon Henson, son of Mattie Dellar (Courtwright) and William Melvin Henson, was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Spencerville, Okla.

Roy served in the Air Force.

On Oct. 24, 1992, Roy married Patricia “Pat” Ann Nelson in Hibbing, Minn.

For many years, Roy worked for the railroad and in later years he owned and operated a pizza parlor and retired in 1996.

Roy was a member of Catfish Cove, Lions Club at Prospect Oregon.

Roy is survived by his spouse Pat of Osceola; daughters, Della Henson and Wendy (George) Pett; son Roy Henson Jr.; stepson Gene DeMers Jr.; stepdaughter Ann Thompson; grandchildren, David, Brian, Amanda, Michael, Angela, Kristeen, Kirsty and Tyler; step-grandchildren, Chelsey, Beth and Elijah; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin and Jack Henson; and sisters, Faye Braly and Peggy Chism.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Beverly Henson.
