Joseph Bailey Murray

Joseph Bailey, 86, of Murray died April 9, 2014, at Southern Hills Specialty Care.

Services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 14, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola. The Rev. Marty Burgus officiated. Interment was in Murray Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Bailey family for a tribute to be decided on at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Joseph Junior Bailey, son of Garnet Marie (Weeks) and Joseph Bailey, was born May 5, 1927, in Garden Grove.

Joseph received his education in Leroy, where he attended Leroy High School.

On Dec. 27, 1953, Joseph married Constance “Connie” Erdeen Cole at the Christian Church in Osceola.

Joseph spent his entire life as a farmer.

Joseph is survived by his children, Robert “Bob” Joe Bailey of Murray, Cheryl Sue German of Grand River, William “Bill” Roger Bailey of Dexter and Christina “Chris” Marie Bailey of Chino Hills, Calif.; grandchildren, Jesse (husband Dalton) Irving of Lacona, Brittany Bailey of Osceola, Jonathon and Bradley Bailey, both of Garden Grove and Joseph and Nicholas German, both of Grand River; great-grandchildren, Christopher Crisman and Elija Seymour, both of Osceola, and Joslynn Irving of Lacona; sister Dorothy Babberl of Windsor Heights; as well as other relatives and many friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, parents, infant son Kenneth Ray Bailey, infant grandson James Wyatt German and brother-in-law John Babberl.
