Miller-Meeks to visit Osceola on campaign tour

Dr. Mariannette Miller-Meeks will be making a two-day campaign swing through the western part of Iowa’s Second Congressional District next Wednesday, April 16, and Thursday, April 17.

She will be hosting events in Davis, Monroe, Appanoose, Wayne, Lucas, Clarke and Decatur counties to talk about why she’s running for Congress and listen to the concerns of those attending. The campaign tour will focus on Dr. Miller-Meeks winning the Republican primary and defeating Congressman Dave Loebsack, D-Iowa, in November.

“The people of Iowa deserve a representative in Washington who will visit with them, listen to their concerns, and use common-sense to fix things,” Dr. Miller-Meeks said. “Too often politicians go to Washington and become a creature of the city. They get cozy with special interests and lose touch with the people back home.”

She added, “I will be traveling all over Iowa’s Second Congressional District in this campaign to meet with people of diverse backgrounds. Iowans deserve representation that meets with them, listens to them, and brings solutions to their concerns to Washington, D.C. If I am lucky enough to represent Iowa in Congress that is the kind of representative I will be.”
