Elva Fitch, 85, of Osceola died Feb. 13, 2014, at her home.
Cremation was arranged by Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. She will be intured in Bardolph Cemetery in Bardolph, Ill., at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
Elva Mae Fitch, daughter of Estella (Monte) and Ernest Eddington, was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Bardolph, Ill.
As a child, Elva’s family moved several times, living in Bardolph, Galesburg, and East Moline, Ill.
On July 19, 1946, Elva married Earl Lee Fitch in Monmoth, Ill.
Earl worked for the railroad, so Elva and Earl moved their family several times over the years. They lived in Creston in the late 1970s and early ‘80s and moved to Hannibal, Mo., in the late ‘80s. They moved to Osceola seven years ago to be closer to their daughter.
Elva was a member of Arch Methodist Church in Hannibal, Mo., and Order Of The Eastern Star.
Elva is survived by her husband Earl Fitch of Osceola; children, Terry (Mary) Fitch of Hannibal, Mo., Janice (James) Aldrich of Hannibal, Mo., Ralph (Barb) Fitch of Marshall, Mich., and Lee Ann (Calvin) Goodemote of Thayer; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Elva was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters.
