Clarke boys fall at Chariton

CHARITON — The Clarke boys basketball team fell to 1-11 for the season with a 63-41 loss to Chariton here on Friday.

The Indians entered the second half tied with Chariton at 24-24, but were outscored by a 24-7 margin in the third quarter.

Freshman Troy Morgan led the Indians in scoring with 11 points, knocking down three 3-pointers. Colin Morris added eight points and grabbed six rebounds. Carlos Tamayo scored eight points off the bench.

Brin Evins scored nine points and pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds. Justin Adams scored three points and Jared Jamison added two.

The Indians shot just seven free throws in the game, making only two.

Clarke returns to action on Friday at Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and travels to Pleasantville on Monday.
