A Minnesota man was killed in an accident 10:32 p.m. on Interstate 35 near mile-marker 52.

According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Lawrence Anderson, 74, of Marine on St. Croix, Minn., was chasing a dog that had gotten away from him after his vehicle was stranded on the interstate.

Anderson was struck by a 1997 Chevrolet driven south on Interstate 35 by Shelton Short, 34, of Osceola.
