Lonnie ‘Thunder’ Baughman Pagosa Springs, Colo.

Lonnie Baughman, 57, of Pagosa Springs, Colo., formerly of Osceola, died Dec. 7, 2013, in Pagosa Springs, Colo.

Services were 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola. The Rev. Chuck DeVos officiated. Interment of his cremains was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to his family for a fitting tribute to be decided on at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.

Lonnie Lee Baughman, son of Lucille Jeanette (Hembry) and Leo William Baughman, was born June 24, 1956, in Leon.

“Thunder” graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1974.

While still in Iowa, Lonnie worked for Local 387 with Donaldson’s Construction for his uncle Gail. He moved to Colorado in the late 1980s and worked for Copper Mountain Property Management and most recently as a locater for Summit County and other counties in the area.

Lonnie is survived by his daughters, Kerrie (Darren) King of South Jordan, Utah, and Leslie Baughman of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; son Billy Baughman of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; mother Lucille Baughman of Osceola; brothers, Larry (Kelly) Baughman of Garden Grove, Rick (Ann) Baughman of Eldridge and Terry (Jan) Baughman of Chariton; sisters, Vicky (Scott) Halvorsen of Osceola and Teresa (Doc) VerMeer of Knoxville; grandchildren, Lauren, Payton and Reagan King of South Jordan, Utah; other relatives and many friends.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father; and grandparents, Leo and Wilma Baughman and Leonard and Hazel Hembry.
