Thelma Tinnell, 92, of Osceola died Oct. 25, 2013.
Services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given to her family for a tribute to be decided at a later time. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
Thelma Irene (Ridenour) Tinnell, daughter of Cora (Woldruff) and Charles Wesley Ridenour, was born Feb. 26, 1921, in Page County near Braddyville.
Thelma and her parents moved to Nebraska when she was 3 years old. She received her early education at country school before moving to Seneca, Neb., where she attended high school and graduated in 1939.
On Feb. 5, 1940, Thelma married Clair Wesley Tinnell in Thedford, Neb.
Thelma is survived by her son Harry (Margaret) Tinnell of Ogallala, Neb.; daughter Rebecca Peterson (Rich Headrick) of Osceola; grandchildren, Jeff (Misty) Tinnell of Salmon, Idaho, Janette (Clyde) Williams of Dannebrog, Neb., Jerrold (Linda) Tinnell of Chapman, Neb., Scott Peterson of Osceola, Kate Peterson of Fort Dodge, James (Sheila) Tinnell of Grand Island, Neb., and Ricky Headrick; 14 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.
Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband; brothers, Gilbert, Floyd, Oral and Raymond Ridenour; sisters, Blanche Sandoz, Lola Macumber and Fern Eveland and Viola in infancy; daughter-in-law Janiece Tinnell and son-in-law Pete Peterson.
