Mary Hill, 59, of Osceola died Oct. 25, 2013, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The Rev. Rim Johnson officiated. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
Mary Lee Hill, daughter of Lee and Wilma Terwilliger, was born Aug. 20, 1954, in Ringgold County and raised on a farm just outside of Mount Ayr.
Mary received her education in Mount Ayr and graduated from Mount Ayr High School. She then attended Southwestern Community College and received an Associate of Arts in secretarial services.
On Feb. 14, 1976, Mary married Keith Hill in Mount Ayr.
Mary worked for Creston Schools, was a homemaker, and then worked for the Clarke Community Schools as an associate for the elementary school.
Mary is survived by her husband Keith Hill of Osceola, son Jerome (wife Leslie) Hill of Perry, mother Willma Terwilliger of Kellerton, brother Freddy Terwilliger and Luann Shelton of Mount Ayr; grandchildren, Derik, Daniel and Madyson Hill of Perry; father-in-law Roy Hill of Leon, mother-in-law Clella Hill of Leon, brother-in-law Kenny Hill of Portland, Ore.; brother Kevin (wife Melody) Hill of Wayne, Neb.; sister-in-law Kristin Hill of Leon; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her father.
