Bondurant-Farrar 66, Clarke 14

BONDURANT — Bondurant-Farrar used a balanced rushing attack to run away from Clarke here on Friday, 66-14.

The Bluejays rushed for 264 yards in the win, as six different players accounted for at least 28 rushing yards and one touchdown each.

Drake Fuller also threw for two touchdowns, one each to Sam Duffy and Tucker Ksiazek. Duffy also ran an interception back 27 yards for a touchdown.

For Clarke, Dalton Sweeney scored both touchdowns — one on a 1-yard rush, and the other on a 60-yard reception from Rich Wilkins.

Wilkins led the Indians in passing, going 2-of-7 for 63 yards. Dustan Van Loon had a team-high 25 rushing yards, while Jake Leeps rushed for 14 yards.

Sweeney recorded yet another interception on the defensive side of the ball, returning it 45 yards. He also finished with four tackles.

Junior Gordon Witt led the Indians defense with 14 total tackles, including 11 solo tackles.

Clarke, now 1-6 for the season, hosts PCM, Monroe on Friday.

Murray 52, Moravia 0

MORAVIA — Andrew Rider tied the national eight-player record for career punt returns for touchdowns as Murray rolled past Moravia Friday, 52-0.

Rider had his 10th and 11th career punt return touchdowns in the game, for 66 and 51 yards. That ties Dick Maurer of Prospect, Ore., who played from 1966 to 1969.

Rider, who carried nine times from scrimmage for 86 yards, also surpassed the 3,000-yard career rushing mark. His three rushing touchdowns made him the school leader in rushing TDs, passing the previous record of 50 held by Caleb Byers.

Coach Keith Shields said the Mustangs responded well from the previous week's loss to Adair-Casey. Murray bolted to a 33-0 lead in the first quarter and led 46-0 at halftime.

Seth Nerness scored on a 33-yard run and 20-yard pass from Thane Simmons, and Sam Rockhold caught a 2-yard touchdown pass from Simmons. George Barber was dominant up front with six solo tackles, including three for losses and a quarterback sack.

"Our defense played well all night," Shields said. "We gave up negative 27 yards rushing in the first half, and 18 passing. During the second half they had 22 yards rushing and 5 passing. We got positive contributions from everyone as the second half went quickly with the running clock."

Murray, 5-2 overall and 3-1 in district play, faces Colo-Nesco this week.

Central Decatur 58, Colfax-Mingo 16

COLFAX — Peyton Gilbert rushed for 156 yards and five touchdowns to lead Central Decatur past Colfax-Mingo in Class 1A District 7 play here on Friday.

Gilbert carried the ball 20 times, averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Junior Trenton Wells carried the ball 15 times for 172 yards and one touchdown. He averaged 11.5 yards per carry. Peyton Pedersen also finished with one rushing touchdown.

Pedersen completed 7-of-11 passes for 131 yards and one score to senior Daniel Weir. Weir caught two passes for 68 yards.

Weir also led the team with seven total tackles. Clayton Dale intercepted a pass and Gabe Roberts and Anthony Walker each recovered a fumble for the Cardinals.

Central Decatur, now 4-2 overall and 1-2 in District 7, hosts Mount Ayr (5-1, 2-1) on Friday. The Raiders entered last week ranked second in the state, but lost 14-0 to Van Meter, which remains the lone unbeaten in District 7.

C-M-B 56, Interstate 35 20

BAXTER — Collins-Maxwell/Baxter rushed for 349 yards in a 56-20 win over Interstate 35 here on Friday.

Gabe Schabillion rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns on 19 carries, while Zach Samson carried the ball 21 times for 161 yards and three touchdowns. Samson also threw for 145 yards and two scores.

For Interstate 35, Briar Vogel connected with Jaylan White for a pair of touchdowns through the air. Vogel finished 10-of-22 for 124 yards. White caught four passes for 47 yards. Zach Goering snagged three passes for 55 yards.

Alex Middleton rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on 21 carries. Vogel added 39 yards on 10 carries and Zachery Irelan carried seven times for 19 yards.

Defensively, Middleton and White each finished with eight tackles. Garrett Heckman finished with seven. Bobby Heilman recovered a fumble for the Roadrunners.
