Diana Gorsline, 60, of Des Moines died Sept. 21, 2013, at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.
Her family will gather to remember her life 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola. Per her wishes, she was cremated. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola. Memorials may be given to Weldon Christian Church or American Legion Post 69.
Diana Linn Gorsline, daughter of Daleth J. (Glenn) and Charles B. Gorsline, was born May 5, 1953, at March Air Force Base in Riverside, Calif.
Diana grew up in the Weldon and Van Wert area, received her education at Weldon Elementary School and graduated from Clarke Community High School in 1971.
After high school, she attended cosmetology school. She also worked for the state of Iowa and volunteered for various political campaigns.
Diana is survived by her parents, Charles and Daleth Gorsline of Leon; brother Steven Gorsline of New Virginia; sister Terrie (Larry) McBroom of Weldon; nieces, Tracie (Mark) Pearce of Van Wert, Tina (Jacob) Ward of Weldon and Sara Gorsline of Des Moines; nephews, Daniel (Lecy) Gorsline of Leon and Travis (Sarah) McBroom of Van Wert; great-nieces, Briana, Jaelyn and Kailee Gorsline, Erin Gay and Nora Ward; other relatives and a host of friends.
Diana was preceded in death by her brother Rick Gorsline; sister-in-law Connie Gorsline; and niece Jessica Gorsline.
