Matthew William Chumbley, 37, of Weldon was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine 11:06 p.m. Aug. 30 at 2461 Clarke-Decatur St.

According to a Clarke County Sheriff’s report, Chumbley was charged on a Decatur County warrant. The original offense occurred Aug. 5-6. Chumbley was transported by Clarke County law enforcement to the county line and turned over to Decatur County law enforcement.


Donald Eugene Reasoner of Osceola reported a Loc and Go grill, 5-gallon Craftsman Shop Vac,, Coleman camp lantern and four ice coolers were taken from his property between 1 and 8 a.m. Sept. 7 while he was sleeping.

The incident is being investigated by Clarke County Sheriff’s Office.

Loss estimate is $420.
