Mckee, Sparks repeat wins; Tyler Nelson first in Micro Sprints
High temperatures on Saturday made for some exciting racing for the fans at CCS. The chase for the championship continued as 78 cars filled the pits for action.
The Jr. FWD’s kicked off the nights racing action. Niki Sparks took the lead on lap one as T.J Woods and Alan Delker followed. Sparks was able to lead them all the way to the finish for her second win of the season. Delker and Woods finished out the top three. Katelyn Byrd was fourth and Kaylie Camden was fifth.
Nine trucks started the A-main for the class that’s too tough to tame. Point leader Garrit Mckee raced from fifth to the lead on the first lap with Garrett Nelson right behind him. They battled for the lead in the first several laps as Kyle Byrd and Andy Forcht followed. Mckee went on to win his fourth race of the season. Byrd finished second with Forcht in third.
