With a 3-1 win over Eddyville-Blakesburg on July 3, the Clarke Lady Indians wrapped up their second straight South Central Conference championship.

Carrie Kindred picked up the win in the pitching circle, throwing four innings and allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts. Libby Bemis pitched three innings of relief, earning the save, allowing three hits and striking out one.

The Lady Indians finished the regular season with a pair of losses at the Ottumwa Classic on Friday, losing to Southeast Polk 2-0 and to Cardinal, Eldon 12-11.

Up next for the Lady Indians is the regional tournament.

The bottom half of the Class 3A Region 6 bracket includes Mediapolis, Central Lee, Davis County and No. 2-ranked West Burlington Notre Dame.
