Norman Redman, 80, of Osceola died June 12, 2013, at his home in Osceola.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The Rev. Chuck DeVos officiated. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
Norman Allen Redman, son of Nadene Marie (Lantz) and Raymond Allen Redman, was born July 21, 1932, in Leon.
Norman was raised on a farm in Van Wert.
Norman served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, attaining the rank of airman 1st class.
Upon returning home from the Air Force, Norman farmed in Decatur County for about 15 years.
On June 8, 1985, Norman married Phyllis Weeks.
In 1988, Norm and Phyllis bought the restaurant known as Redman’s Pizza and Steakhouse and for the next 25 years, this is where he spent most of his time.
Norm is survived by his sons, Randy (Pam) Redman of Adel and Rodney (Beth) Redman of Osceola; daughters, Rhonda Brammer, Ramona (Jon) Jackson and Robin (Aaron) Smith, all of Osceola; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Marlene Nash and Mardell (David) Boles, all of Murray; brothers, Jerry Redman of Urbandale and Ben Redman of Twin Bridges, Mont.; other relatives and many friends.
Norm was preceded in death by his parents; wife in 2002; and son-in-law Kenny Brammer in 2012.
