Ralph Moran, 99, of Loveland, Colo., died May 27, 2013, at Sterling House at Orchards Assisted Living in Loveland, Colo.
Graveside services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola. Deacon Reinhold Kunze officiated. Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola, was in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
Ralph Thomas Moran, son of William and Edith Moran, was born Jan. 13, 1914, in Osceola.
Ralph grew up on the family farm in Osceola.
Ralph attended Puckerbrush School in Lucas County.
At age 18, Ralph joined the U.S. Navy, where he served as a warrant officer and gunner on the U.S.S. Salt Lake City from 1939-1943.
After completing his Naval service, Ralph went to work for the federal prison system in Long Beach, Calif.
Ralph retired in 1969 at the age of 55 and moved to Chula Vista, Calif., where he lived with his mother until she died.
In 2011, Ralph relocated to Loveland, Colo., and lived at Sterling House at the Orchards Assisted Living until his death.
