Susan Cunningham, 62, of rural Leon died May 6, 2013, at her home.
A memorial service was held 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at Slade-O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon. The Rev. Chuck DeVos officiated. Interment will be at a later date.
Susan Kay Cunningham, daughter of Mabel Ann (Pinegar) and Howard Mansfield Cochran, was born March 22, 1951, in Newton.
Sue attended Newton High School.
On Aug. 17, 1970, Sue married Kenneth James “KC” Cunningham in Omaha, Neb. They lived in Altoona from 1971 until 1995, when they moved to the Leon area.
Sue continued to work at Norwest Bank in Des Moines, until she retired in 1997.
Sue is survived by her sons, James (wife Jerry) Cunningham and Matthew (wife Jennifer) Cunningham, all of rural Leon; grandchildren, Kenny “Little KC” Cunningham, Joshua “George” Cunningham, Ariel White and Brittany Cunningham; nieces, Wanda (husband David) Robinson of Leon and Kris (husband Scott) Rovner of Altoona; nephew Mike (wife Chrissy) Noel of Leon; great-nieces, Amanda and Missy Rovner and Shawnie Noel; great-great-nephews, DeShaun Campbell, Travis Noel, Jamahl Campbell and Cameron Noel; other relatives and friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 2004; and sister Betty Ann Noel.
