Lady Indians improve to 6-0

The Clarke girls tennis team improved to 6-0 on the season with a 5-4 win over Creston on Friday.

Kylar McCann, Libby Bemis, Tracy Morgan and Kacey Klemesrud all won singles matches for Clarke, while the doubles team of McCann and Bemis clinched the victory for the Lady Indians.

The boys, who improved to 5-1 with a 7-2 win over Albia on April 25, dropped to 5-2 for the season with a 7-2 loss to Creston on Friday.

Ali Aly picked up a 10-6 win at No. 6 singles and the No. 3 doubles team of Johannes Zehnter and Aly won 10-3 over Ryan Cook and Logan Angelo.

Clarke lost just one singles match to Albia on April 25, and won two of three doubles matches.

Clarke tennis returns to action today with the boys hosting Corning and the girls traveling to Corning.
