Lonnie Lullmann, 63, of Osceola died April 7, 2013, at Clarke County Hospital.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 12, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St.
Lonnie Richard Lullmann, son of Beulah (Boese) and Dick Lullmann, was born April 30, 1949, in Storm Lake.
Lonnie grew up in Albert City and graduated from Albert City-Truesdale High School in 1967.
After high school, Lonnie served in the Navy. During the Vietnam War, he was stationed in the Philippines’ Subic Bay and later served as a computer programmer at the Pentagon.
Near the end of his military service, on May 27, 1972, Lonnie married Charlotte “Chatty” Rosa Fouts in Holstein.
Shortly after his marriage, he attended Iowa Community College agribusiness program to train for his career.
For 27 years, Lonnie managed Farmer’s Cooperative branches in several Iowa towns. For 16 years, Lonnie worked for MFA Inc. and was a credit manager for the past eight years.
Lonnie was active in the communities in which he lived. He served on the volunteer fire department, was a member of the American Legion and Masonic Lodge and served as Bethlehem Lutheran Church board president.
Lonnie is survived by his wife Charlotte “Chatty” Rosa Lullmann of Osceola; daughter Heather Dawn (Brian) Danek of Morris, Ill.; son Shane Michael (Nancy) Lullmann of Ely; brother Daniel (Pat) Lullmann of Albert City; grandchildren, Olivia and Grace Lullmann and Brady, Andrew and Ethan Danek; many other aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents.
