Interstate 35 pair joins SWCC shooting team

CRESTON — Charlie Mundy, Southwestern Community College’s head sports shooting coach, announced the first two athletes to be added to his 2013-14 roster.  Dylan Webb and Tyler Roberts, both seniors at I-35 High School in Truro, will become a part of SWCC’s newly established sports shooting program.

Webb, of Osceola, will major in telecommunications with a goal of becoming a radio announcer and Roberts, of New Virginia, plans to complete SWCC’s welding program.

In December 2012, SWCC announced it would be implementing sports shooting during the 2013-14 school year.  The college secured a $10,000 Collegiate Sports Shooting Initiative grant, from the National Sports Shooting Foundation, to assist in establishing the college’s sports shooting program.  Information regarding the sports shooting team is available on the SWCC Web site, www.swcciowa.edu.
