Interstate 35 39, East Union 32

AFTON — Nicole Travis and Jordan Williamson each scored 11 points to lead Interstate 35 to a 39-32 win over East Union here on Feb. 1.

Williamson also finished with four assists and four steals.

Nicole Bowden, Charlie Rupp and Colene Jones each netted five points for the Roadrunners. Bowden also grabbed six rebounds with three assists and three steals. Brooke Brommel scored two points.

Martensdale-St. Marys 51, Interstate 35 45

TRURO — An early lead slipped away from Interstate 35 in the third quarter of a 51-45 loss to Martensdale-St. Marys here on Feb. 5.

Nicole Travis shot 10-of-12 from the field in scoring 23 points to lead the Roadrunners.

Nicole Bowden and Jordan WIlliamson each added nine points. Bowden grabbed six rebounds to lead Interstate 35. Charlie Rupp scored two points with three assists and three blocked shots, while Colene Jones pitched in two points.

Central Decatur 69, Corning 49

LEON — Central Decatur had no problem disposing of a tall Corning team with a 69-49 win here on Feb. 1.

Sadie Greene led teh way with 21 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals. Mary Akers also scored in double figures with 11 points. Cait Saxton and Brittany Binning each scored eight points.

Halli Linhart scored nine points with five rebounds and three assists, while Lydia Martin added five points. Emily Savely scored three points as Desi Gentry and Sydney Smith each scored two points.

Six Cardinal players were honored on senior night — Greene, Savely, Akers, Gentry, Binning and Kim Yoder.

Central Decatur 49, Wayne 36

CORYDON — Central Decatur used a 20-11 first quarter to propel itself to a 49-36 win over Wayne here on Feb. 5.

Brittany Binning led the way with 19 ponits on 5-of-7 shooting from behind the 3-point arc. Sadie Greene added 11 poitns with five boards, four assists and two steals. Halli Linhart scored nine points with eight boards and three steals.

Mary Akers and Lydia Martin each scored four points, as Martin grabbed five rebounds. Desi Gentry scored two points.

Murray 51, Mormon Trail 26

MURRAY — Murray went on a 22-6 run in the third quarter to pull away from Mormon Trail 51-26 Tuesday night.

Kate Patton had a big game for Murray with 22 points, nine steals and seven rebounds. Megan Oswald added seven points, seven rebounds and three assists. Ashley Rider provided six points and five rebounds.

"We cut down our turnovers (14) on senior night," said coach Jerry Shields. "Everyone got a lot of playing time as we played our last regular season game at home."

Cassie Moore scored 11 points for Mormon Trail (2-17). Murray (15-5) hosts a Class 1A regional quarterfinal Tuesday, facing the winner of East Union.
