Rosamond Adams Osceola

Rosamond Adams, 98, of Osceola died Jan. 25, 2013.

Memorial services were 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The Rev. William Ballard, chaplain with HCI Care Services, officiated. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to HCI Care Services of Osceola.

Rosamond Bush Adams, daughter of Charles B. and Lottie McKee Hyde, was born Jan. 3, 1915, in Champaign, Ill.

Rosamond received her early education in Illinois and Indiana and later graduated in Yonkers, N.Y.

On Aug. 19, 1944, Rosamond married Joseph H. Adams in New York City.

Rosamond was a homemaker.

She was involved with Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts and was a member of the PTA, Research Club and P.E.O.

Rosamond is survived by her children, Joseph H. Adams Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla., Deborah Adams of Osceola and Lawrence (Barbara) Adams of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Chad (Leah) Adams of Altanta, Ga., Cass (Mark) Barron of Manchester, Tenn., Conner and Sarah Adams of Jacksonville, Fla., Timothy (Tamara) Adams of Frisco, Texas, Kristen (Jay) Scott of Mount Vernon, Texas, and Meghan Adams of Dallas, Texas; great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine, Sarah Frances, Elizabeth Ann, Margaret Hyde, William Mark, Audrey Lynn, Piper Elizabeth, Paxton William, Olivia Meghan, Gable Rose, Madison McKee and Kate Hansine; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Rosamond was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Sam Hyde, Joe (Mary) Hyde, Walter Hyde, Raymond (Vivian) Hyde and Charles (Helen) Hyde; and sisters, Adelia “Dee” (Harley) Marden, Charlotte Hyde and Florence Hyde.
