Odessa Muselman, 86, of Weldon died Jan. 23, 2013, at Clarke County Hospital.
Services were 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola. The Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiated. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided at a later time.
Odessa Blanch Muselman, daughter of Ida Elizabeth (Pierce) and Albert Thomas Caldwell, was born Feb. 5, 1926, in Des Moines.
Odessa received her education in country schools, including New Virginia, Truro and Woodburn.
On Jan. 16, 1946, Odessa married Cleo Chase Muselman in Kansas City, Kan.
Odessa was a farm wife.
Odessa is survived by her daughters, Karen (Earl) Hamilton, Janice (Ron) VanWinkle and Vickie (Steve) White; grandchildren, Dusty (Chelsie) Hamilton of Osceola, Kevin (Lori) Hamilton of Indianola, Kadin (Krista) White of Ankeny, Lance Sponsler of Marshalltown, Chris (Lacey) VanWinkle of Osceola, Brandon (Sheri) VanWinkle of Osceola, Nickie (Jeff) Shaffer of New Virginia, Shelly (Tom) Lynch of Ames, Tammy (David) Grooms of Osceola, Donnie (Lori) White of Sibley and Angie (Dain) Wadsworth of Des Moines; grandson-in-law Brian Carson of Woodburn; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; other relatives and many friends.
Odessa was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Gladys Johnson and Vera Samson; brothers, Don and infant Albert Jr.; and granddaughter Laurie Carson.
