Richard Vittetoe, 87, of Osceola, formerly of Farson, died Dec. 31, 2012, at his home.

Funeral Mass was 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at Saint Mary of the Visitation in Ottumwa. The Rev. Bernie Weir officiated. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Ottumwa. A Christian Wake service was held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Reece Funeral Home, Ottumwa. Memorials may be made to Seton Schools in Ottumwa or Friends at Lake Darling, P.O. Richard Michael Vittetoe, son of Irene Dorothy (Peiffer) and John Peter Vittetoe, was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Keota.
