Gerald Watson, 94, of Osceola died Dec. 17, 2012, at Clarke County Hospital.
Services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St., Osceola. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to HCI Care Services. Online condolences may be left at www.kalefuneralhome.com.
Gerald Arthur Watson, son of Cora (O’Neall) and Charles Watson, was born April 1, 1918, in Clarke County.
Gerald attended country school in rural Clarke County. At an early age, Gerald began working on the family farm and continued this tradition throughout his lifetime.
On April 21, 1929, Gerald married Mildred Louise Steele.
In addition to farming, Gerald was a member of PCA Board for three years in Clarke County and attended Woodburn Christian Church and was later baptized at the Christian Church in Osceola.
Gerald is survived by his son Randy (wife Nola) Watson of Osceola; daughter Becky (husband Michael) Adkins of Tampa, Fla.; granddaughters, Danielle Adkins of Louisville, Ky., Taylor Adkins of St. Augustine, Fla., Kim (husband J.C.) Jensen of Greenville, Texas; grandson Kevin (wife Darah) Gross of Charlotte, N.C.; great-grandchild, Sam Gross of Charlotte, N.C.; brother-in-law Wayne Steele of Corydon; nephew Bill Watson; niece Betty Moffitt; other relatives and many friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter Jean Ann Gross; sister Hazel Watson; brother Bernard Watson; sister-in-law Lena Watson; sister Gladys Evans; brother-in-law Glen Evans; sister Alice Westfall and brother-in-law Gene Westfall.
