Michelle Blain Lake Arrowhead

On November 4th we awoke to the sad news Michelle Lynn Blain had died peacefully in her sleep at her home in Lake Arrowhead. She was 51 years of age.

Shelley was born in Inglewood Calif. Sept. 22,1961, and attended school in Long Beach and graduated from Milikan High. She went on to college at Univ. of Iowa, and finished her Docturat degree in pharmacy at USC, then she went on to Pepperdine University where she obtained an MBA in business.

She was united in marriage to Steve Hupp and to that union her daughter Jade Alexranda Hupp was born. She worked in the health care industry for several years and started and ran her independent pharmacy in Lake Arrowhead until death.

Shelley was a carismatic soul, she loved travel, learning new things, rock and roll and running off on adventures she always thirsted for knowledge and had a hunger for books that was never satisfied. She was very philosophical and always searched for her next grand adventure. She loved outdoor sports especially snow and water skiing and she had a very competitive attitude and always challenged the boys to keep up with her.

She is survived by her daughter Jade Alexranda Hupp Shedd, Jade’s husband Jace of Brea Calif., her brother Mark of Bishop, his daughter Breanne and son Tyler of Henderson, NV, her mother and father Larry and Martha Blain of Bishop, her grandmother Josephine Blain, her aunt Mary Ann and her husband Neil Toland, her uncles: Richard and his wife Marie Flynn, Lynn and his wife Marcia Blain, all from Iowa, and many cousins and familly friends.

A funeral mass will be held Friday Nov. 16 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Bishop, CA at 10 am officiated by Father John Gracey followed by burial in East Line Street Cemetery. Visitation will be at Brune Mortuary Chapel in Bishop Thursday night 5:30 - 8 pm.
