Donna Kottom Ocala, Fla.

Donna Kottom, 77, of Ocala, Fla., died Oct. 29, 2012.

Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, Bellevue, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.

Donna Luaine (Poortinga) Kottom, daughter of Vivian (Forbes) and Louis “Bud” Poortinga, was born Nov. 4,1934, in Osceola.

Donna attended school in Osceola and graduated in 1952.

Donna was a bookkeeper and worked at various firms in Des Moines before moving to California.

Donna married Kenneth Kottom in California.

They retired and moved to Florida in 2005 to be near her son Michael Fortner and his family.

Donna is survived by her son Michael (wife Peggy); grandchildren, Michael (Aunna), Steven (Ashely), Kyle and Cody; great-grandchildren, Jayde and Tara; sister Patty (Stan) Martin; brother John (Myrna) Poortinga; half brother Marlin Gariepy; half sisters, Kathy (Dale) Martin and Debbie (Al) Chavez; stepmother Peggy Poortinga; aunts, Shirley Collins and Ava Lea Boyle; many nieces, nephews, stepbrothers and sisters; cousins and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Judith and husband.
