Hazel Pritchard Osceola

Hazel Marie Pritchard, daughter of Fred Irving and Florence (Steen) Irving, was born June 8, 1921, in Decatur County, Iowa, and passed from this life Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa, at 91 years of age.

Hazel grew up in the Van Wert area and attended country school. She was united in marriage to Glenn Pritchard on August 6, 1939, at Leon, IA and three children blessed this union.

Hazel worked for Clarke County Hospital, Snowdons, Blue Haven Motel and Osceola Leisure Manor. She was baptized at the Van Wert Christian Church and was a very active member of the First Christian Church in Osceola. Hazel helped with many church and funeral dinners and was a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Osceola Women’s Club. Hazel was a fabulous cook and had the best noodles. She loved sewing and doing all kinds of needle work.
