Centerville Invite

CENTERVILLE — The Clarke boys cross country team finished ninth and the girls finished 11th at the Centerville Invite here on Oct. 2.

“It was a nearly perfect day,” head coach Kyleen McCann said. “It seemed to be a fast course today.”

Chasen Selsor led the boys to the ninth-place finish out of 14 teams, with his 35th-place finish in 18:43. Corbin Simmons finished close behind in 42nd place at 19:03.

Christian Andrade finished 48th with a time of 19:18 and Jake Manternach was close by as he finished 51st in 19:24. Mason Simmons finished 71st in 20:45 to round out the team scoring.

Kylar McCann led the way for the girls team, finishing 18th in 17:39 for the 4K course. Tiffany McKnight came in 43rd with a time of 19:24.

Elly Watkins finished 64th in 21:49, while Samaria Parada finished 68th in 22:45. Mayela Vega rounded out the team scoring with a 69th-place finish in 22:46.
