Betty Simpson — Bushnell, Fla.

Betty Simpson, 67, of Bushnell, Fla., died Sept. 7, 2012, in Sumterville, Fla.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at Christ’sway Church, 201 Leann Dr., Osceola. Purcell Funeral Home, Bushnell, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.

Betty Arlene Schaff Simpson, daughter of Bertha Faye (Mennealy) and Lyle Raymond Schaff, was born July 27, 1945, in Murray.

Betty attended school in Osceola and married Jack Kenneth Bromley.

On June 18, 1988, Betty married Max Roger Simpson.

She worked most of her life with the public, running restaurants and lounges and selling real estate and insurance in both Florida and Iowa.

Betty is survived by her husband Max Simpson; children, Jacqueline Jolene Bromley Hansen of St. Michael, Minn., and John Britt Bromley of Seminole, Fla.; stepsons, Roger (Susie) Simpson of Medford, Ore., and Dennis (Lisa) Simpson of Gilbert, Ariz.; grandchildren, Austin Adamson of St. Michael, Minn., and Dakota Adamson Thelen of Albertville, Minn.; brother Glenn (Jiggs) Schaff; sister Eva (Dennis) Doran of Osceola; sisters-in-law, Shelly Schaff of Osceola and Marilyn Moon of Leon; brothers-in-law, Carey Lindsey of Story City and Lonnie Hodges of Des Moines and several nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale “Bud” Schaff and Richard “Dick” Schaff; sisters, Lois Flowers, Ilene Lindsey and Joy Hodges and nephews, Dennis Lindsey, Steven Lindsey and Kelly Pigg.
