Pauline Neisemier – Murray

Pauline Neisemier, 83, of Murray died Sept. 12, 2012, at Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 17, at Powers Funeral Home, junction of highways 34 and 25, Creston. The Rev. Dwayne Henrichs officiated. Burial was in Lorimor Cemetery south of Lorimor. Memorials may be directed to Murray United Methodist Church or Greater Regional Hospice Home. Online condolences may be left at www.powersfh.com.

Pauline Neisemier, daughter of Guyda Helena (Gorr) and James Fred Gibson, was born March 30, 1929, in Union County, near Creston.

Pauline graduated from Lorimor High School in 1947.

She worked as a telephone operator for Northwestern Bell from 1947-1948.

On Dec. 26, 1948, Pauline married Leo Chriss Neisemier in Creston. They were lifetime residents of the Murray, Thayer and Lorimor areas.

Pauline was a farm wife and worked at Lorimor Library.

Pauline was a 50-year member of Eastern Star, Lorimor Centennial volunteer, poll worker in Thayer, volunteer at The New Lorimorian and 50-year member of the Nifty Neighbor Club.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Kathy (husband Gary) Sink of St. Mary’s, Cindy (husband Lauran) Driskill of Afton and Jane (husband Tom) Hamilton of Prole; son Danny Neisemier of Thayer; brothers-in-law, Don Campbell of Pekin, Ill., and Lester Neisemier of Bristol, Va.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; husband June 2, 1998; sisters, Virginia Denly, Betty Campbell, Kathryn Hiskey and Christina Gibson in infancy; brothers, Eugene in infancy and Junior, Paul and Gerald Gibson and brothers-in-law, Clarence Neisemier and Fred Neisemier.
