Johnny G. Porter - Osceola

Johnny G. Porter, 85, of Osceola died Aug. 19, 2010 at Kavanagh House in Des Moines.

Funeral services were held 1 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St. The  Rev. Kevin Smith of  Peru United Methodist Church officiated.  Interment was in Peru Cemetery with military rites by Winterset American Legion and V.F.W. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to Kavanagh House.

Johnny G. Porter, son of Silvia (Gifford) and John Thomas Porter, was born Jan. 4, 1925 in Peru.

In 1952, Johnny married Marie Decker.  They lived in Peru, Des Moines, Oklahoma and returned to Osceola.
