Charles Gledhill – New Virginia

Charles Ayres Gledhill, 69, of New Virginia, died Aug. 10, 2010, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at Kale Funeral Home, 301 S. Main St.
Cremation will follow the funeral service. Interment of cremains will be in Center Cemetery in Hartford, Conn. Memorial contributions may be directed to New Virginia Fire and Rescue or New Virginia Library.

Charles Ayres Gledhill, son of Anne (Moriarty) and Henry Wilcox Gledhill, was born Jan. 13, 1941, in Hartford, Conn.

Charlie graduated from Rockville High School in Rockville, Conn., in 1958 and University of Connecticut in 1962 with an agriculture degree.

On Sept. 1, 1979, Charles married Carolyn Lee Laflin in Lebanon, Ind.
