Daylight savings time starts March 14. I saw green grass.
Vickie Weakland of Boone visited her parents Feb. 27-28. Also visiting Normalee and Ted Quayle was Rick Quayle of Lamoni.
Duane Deemer of Nashville, Tenn., son of Gareth and Connie Deemer, flew in Feb. 25 for the funeral of his grandfather, Raymond Deemer. Duane Deemer married Vicki Hann Jan. 29. Vicki was unable to attend because of her job. Duane and Vicki make their home in Nashville
Garth and Connie Deemer would like to thank all of their friends and the Weldon Community Center for the outpouring of support at the time of Raymond’s death.
Word was received of the death of Charles Richards of California. Charles grew up in Weldon and was the son of Charles and Guitine Richards.
The Calvary Baptist Church took baskets of food to Des Moines to send to Haiti. The CWF meet last week for Bible study at Weldon Christian Church.
Mrs. Merle German has a birthday March 17 and a card shower would be nice. Merle
is living at Evelyn’s Guest Home at 231 S Filmore Street Osceola, IA 50213.
Gospel Music is March 14 at Decatur Barnum Community Center from 2-4 p.m.
Everyone is welcome. Bring your instrument and sing.
Jackie Griffith has a birthday March 14. She will be playing at New Virginia Legion Hall. Dancing is 1-4 p.m. Admission is $5. Come and have a good time.
Viola Jones of Van Wert went to her son, Jerry Jones for the winter. In December, Viola fell and broke her left arm. She wore a cast on her shoulder to elbow. It did not heal so they put a steel plate and screws in her arm. This cast will be on for six weeks. Cards should be sent to: 1665 Underwood Dr., Conyers, GA 30013
