Police report

A theft was reported at 115 N. Main St. on Feb. 28.

False documentation was reported at Clarke County Courthouse on March 4. False documents for a driver's license were presented.

A motor vehicle theft was reported at 1403 W. Clay St. on March 7. The vehicle was later located south of Murray.

A theft was reported at 2400 College Dr. on March 6.

ARRESTS

Richard Brown, 45, was charged with theft on March 1.

Jelani Green, 33, was charged with theft on March 2.

Robert Johnson II, 34, was arrested for a warrant on March 2.

Jose Garcia Gonzales, 36, was charged with assault on March 3.

Alyssa Johnson, 20, was arrested for a warrant on March 5.

Jelani Green, 33, was charged with 15 counts of harassment on March 7. Green allegedly made inappropriate calls to six victims.

Irene Betzold, 49, was charged with operating a vehicle without the owner's consent.

ACCIDENTS

A vehicle parked in the Amtrak parking lot was damaged Feb. 19. West Des Moines resident Andrew Palmer notified police that his vehicle had been struck on the right rear corner. His vehicle was pushed to the north about two feet. Damage to Palmer's vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

Gerald Chadwick of Osceola was cited for having no insurance on Feb. 26, following an accident. According to a report, Chadwick drove into the east side of Casey's General Store, 101 N. Main St., damaging the store's doors. Chadwick told police his foot slipped off of the brake. Damage to Casey's doors was estimated at $1,000.

An accident occurred March 4 in Hy-Vee parking lot when one driver was backing out from a parking space. Anna Ross of Osceola was traveling north in the parking lot when Monte Kastler Jr. of Osceola backed out from his parking space into Ross' vehicle. Damage was estimated at $800 to Ross' car and $200 to Kastler's vehicle.

An Osceola resident was charged with failure to maintain control and striking fixtures after an accident. Eira Garcia-Flores and traveling west on Jefferson Street. Garcia-Flores was allegedly driving too fast to round a curve that turned into Ridge Street and slid off the road going straight. Garcia-Flores went down a hill, through a yard and went through a field fence. Damage to Garcia-Flores' vehicle was estimated at $1,000. Damage to the field fence was estimated at $2,000.
