ARRESTS
Woodburn resident Richard Dillon, 66, was charged with failure to register on the sexual registry list on Feb. 8.
Weldon resident Leona Beck, 39, was charged with violation of compulsory education on Feb. 12.
Osceola resident Derek Nish, 27, was charged with Operating While Intoxicated on Feb. 13.
Ottumwa resident Jose Diaz-Salmanca, 43, was charged with a probation violation on Feb 18.
Murray resident Rodney Simmerman, 54, was charged with Operating While Intoxicated, open container and failure to wear a seat belt on Feb. 19. He was released on $200 bond on Feb. 20.
Des Moines resident David Johnson, 40, was charged with driving while revoked on Feb. 20.
Murray resident Chad Thomas, 30, was charged with two counts of assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and two counts of enticing a minor on Feb. 14.Thomas is being held at Clarke County Jail on a $25,000 bond. A full report from the Clarke County Sheriff's office hasn't been released.
INCIDENT
Murray resident Doug Reasoner reported electrical wiring inside his barn was cut on Feb. 11. Damage is estimated at $200.
Murray resident Thomas Shannon reported harassment on Feb. 12. Shannon told law enforcement he was receiving harassing messages on his cell phone.
ACCIDENT
Johnston resident Lisa Shanks, 46, was traveling south on 130th Ave. when she failed to stop at a stop sign and her vehicle struck Sheila Malone's vehicle on Feb. 14. Damage is estimated at $5,000 to Shank's vehicle and $3,000 to Malone's vehicle.
Van Wert resident Earle Jacobe, 54, was traveling north on Highway 69 on Feb. 16 when an unknown object struck his windshield and grill on his pickup truck. The object allegedly came from a state tractor that was blowing snow across Highway 69 . Damage is estimated at $800.
A one-vehicle accident happened on Feb. 15 on Interstate 35 by the Osceola turnoff. Minnesota resident Jeanne Meyers, 70, was traveling north on Interstate 35 when she hit a patch of ice and slide into the median. Damage is estimated at $1,500.
