Accident claims life of Corydon resident

A crash in Lucas County Dec. 2 at 9:26 p.m. claimed the life of Corydon resident.

Joshwa Hamilton, 29, was killed in a head-on accident after he crossed the centerline while driving north on Highway 65 near Derby. Hamilton crashed into Weldon resident Hailee Kelso's vehicle. Kelso, 15, sustained injuries and was transported to Lucas County Hospital. Kelso was recently released from the hospital.

According to a report, Hamilton was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The accident is under investigation by Iowa State Patrol.
