A DIVIDED TOWN: Actors and actresses rehearse a scene from the Osceola Children’s Theatre’s fall play. The blue people (on the left) and the green people don’t get along in the play until they learn to accept one another.
A town divided by color will come together in Osceola Children’s Theatre’s fall production “Flying Colors.” The blue and green people of Splitsville ignore one another at the beginning of the play, until they learn to accept each others differences. Through the play, students from Clarke and Murray Community Schools expanded their vocabulary with new words like vigilante, news anchor and psychiatrist. Students also learned the importance of treating people the same, even if they have differences. The show will take place Nov. 20 and 21 at 7 p.m. at Clarke Community High School’s stage.
